Today I fancied writing a different style of blog post as I wanted to talk a little about one of my biggest goals for 2025: creating my dream portfolio.
If you follow me on my social medias, (especially my Instagram!) you may have noticed an increase in the number of content days I have been doing over the last few months. This year I am investing a lot of time and money into creating my dream portfolio; think glowing skin, gorgeous lashes and of course the occasional winged liner here and there!

Throughout January and February, I took part in the Kristina Gasperas Academy Endorsement Course which was an eight week challenge creating six different looks based on varying briefs. I am very proud to announce that I passed the course and am now one of the recommended suppliers for the academy!
I joined Kristina’s academy last April after attending one of her masterclasses in London. Her makeup really is unbelievable and I joined the academy to further my education in order to elevate my skills and create the best makeup for my clients. Over the past two and a half months, I have had content days coming out of my ears (at least it’s felt like it!) creating my six looks. Below is my official entry into the challenge!

Each brief focused on a different set of skills, including a youth boosting makeup focusing on corrective techniques, a glowy skin makeup focusing on a flawless base and a winged liner and red lip makeup that was all about technique. If I had to pick a favourite, it would be the winged liner and red lip.

This look reminded me of the old days working on counter in Debenhams. For my interview for KVD Cosmetics, I had to create this exact look in 45 minutes… in front of the brand manager… while selling the products… while being quizzed on my hobbies and interests. Safe to say 22 year old me would struggle with this, so how I did it at the age of 17 I have no idea! It was so much fun creating this look and acknowledging how far I have come since then.
(Ps… I got the job x)

In the midst of this challenge, I also organised my first mini bridal photoshoot! This has been something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, so on a very chilly February morning, I collaborated with three fantastic local wedding suppliers on a super relaxed (and very fun!) little photoshoot. I will absolutely be doing more of these throughout 2025 so stay tuned for that!

I have loved doing these content days and even though the challenge has finished now, the content days are not stopping! In a few weeks I am collaborating with an amazing local hairstylist and turning my dining room into a studio for the day. Fingers crossed my dog doesn’t mind…
