Last weekend, I had the pleasure of hosting a Sip and See Bridal Morning alongside Lucy at Studio 41 Bridal. After initially chatting about the idea at a coffee date with Lucy in the middle of June, seeing the event come to life was so exciting! Lucy has hosted an event like this previously, but it was the first time I had been involved in a showcase like this. Today, I wanted to chat more about the behind the scenes of putting together a day like this, including organising a fantastic content shoot to promote the event, the marketing and how it went!

How the idea came about…
Over the years, I have done several wedding fairs and truthfully, they’re not my favourite events in the world. I find them quite overwhelming, both to showcase at and for couples looking around, with multiple suppliers within the same categories – multiple hair stylists, multiple makeup artists, multiple florists etc. They often leave brides feeling confused, unsure where to start and with who to enquire with.
I haven’t attended a wedding fair like this in nearly two years and now much prefer smaller, less intense events working alongside suppliers and venues I absolutely love and am proud to work with. Which brings me to Lucy!
Lucy owns Studio 41 Bridal which is a bridal dress studio in Wokingham, and I have been lucky enough to work with Lucy many times since we met at the start of 2026. We instantly clicked and I knew Lucy was someone I wanted to work with more in the industry – she is just so… normal! You instantly feel comfortable around her and she is similar to me in the way that she is not a pushy saleswoman. Not to mention she’s absolutely hilarious too!
When Lucy initially mentioned the idea, I was on board immediately. We wanted the event to feel relaxed, calm and not intimidating; no sales tactics, no pressure, simply an opportunity to explore Lucy’s beautiful dresses and chat to me about bridal makeup. Paired with a few pastries and a glass of prosecco, it sounded like heaven!

A content day to promote the event…
We gave ourselves six weeks from our initial chat to bring the event to life, with our first step being to collaborate on a stunning content shoot to showcase a selection of dresses and an on trend bridal makeup look.
Myself and Lucy are both recommended suppliers at the beautiful Stanlake Park Vineyards over in Twyford, so this was the perfect venue for our photoshoot. Along with a team of incredibly talented women, we spent a (very hot) morning doing what all wedding suppliers love – getting creative, chatting about how our seasons have been and bringing together a gorgeous vision. I truly couldn’t choose a favourite dress of the day, and I adored the makeup look I went for. Our model Georgie absolutely smashed it! What a beauty!
An enormous shout out to the team, all of whom are listed below!

A few extra photos because I just can’t get over this shoot… it was beautiful!!
How the morning went…
After talking about the event non-stop (sorry to any of my Instagram followers), the day finally came! I always find showcase events so funny as a makeup artist as I don’t necessarily have a physical product to present. Lucy has her dresses, a florist would create a beautiful floral arrangement, a photographer would have a selection of images to show. My product however is… my face? So after getting myself in full glam, I headed off to Lucy’s studio to set up!
We had, in our opinion, the perfect number of brides come along to our Sip and See morning, giving the event a buzz of chatter and excitement. We were so happy with how the event turned out and are so thankful to everyone who came along. I was sad when it finished!
In only the 10 days since then, Lucy has welcomed two of those brides to her studio (who both said yes to the dress!) and I have welcomed two brides who are tying the knot in 2027. It was a huge success and we are already discussing planning another.
Would you come along to the next event? When would you like it to be held?
I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post today, thank you for stopping by! To make sure you don’t miss when our next Sip and See event is announced, make sure to follow me on my Instagram, linked here.
