My main focus as a makeup artist, apart from making sure your makeup is exactly as you’d like, is making sure you are totally comfortable. I personally find having my makeup done a really relaxing experience and I know many of my clients do too! However, for many ladies that I meet it is the only opportunity they get to really switch off. That brings us onto the topic of “Silent Appointments”.
What is a Silent Appointment?
You may be wondering, what even is a Silent Appointment? A Silent Appointment is exactly what it says on the tin; a makeup booking with me where, after my initial consultation about what you’re looking for with your makeup, I will be quiet throughout so you can relax fully. Some of my clients love a chit chat, but I recognise that others are quieter and enjoy a bit of peace! I want to make sure you look forward to your booking with me, and for some the idea of getting their makeup done is quite daunting. Trusting someone (who may be a stranger!) to do your makeup can be a scary prospect, and once you add on the idea that we’ll be chatting for the 45 minutes to an hour that I spend with you, it may be take away that excitement. As someone who used to get very anxious meeting new people, I can understand this fully.
So, who is a Silent Appointment suitable for?
To put it simply – anyone! Whether you’ve had a stressful week at work, find the idea of having your makeup done overwhelming or simply just want to chill, a Silent Appointment could be the perfect option for you. Future brides, I’m also looking at you! Your wedding morning can be a very overwhelming day, not only with all of the emotions but also with people asking you lots of questions on the wedding morning. Silent Appointments are a fabulous way to relax and take a minute to yourself before you head down the aisle.
