Did you know I also offer makeup lessons here at Imogen Sandy MUA? I currently offer two different makeup lessons, my Natural Lesson and my Evening Lesson, so you can choose which session sounds best suited to you. I really enjoy teaching my makeup lessons so I thought I would talk a little more about them and answer my makeup lesson FAQs!

What is the difference between the two lessons?
My Natural Lesson is a 90 minute session that focuses on going back to the basics. During this session, you can learn a quick and simple routine that is perfect for everyday wear. This lesson is perfect for beginners, or for someone wanting to start a fresh with their current routine. You would learn the basics of eyeshadow application, as well as a full base routine. We would talk about what colours would suit you best, where to apply each product and most importantly why we are placing them in these areas!
Below are some examples of the style of look you could learn to create.

My Evening Lesson is, as it says on the tin, a more glam lesson which focuses on creating a full face of makeup which would be perfect for an evening out. As well as learning everything mentioned above in the Natural Lesson, we dive a bit deeper into eyeshadow techniques, colour correction (if necessary) and how to elevate a natural look. You can also learn how to apply strip lashes! This session takes two hours from start to finish.

How will I remember everything?!
My lessons are very in depth, discussing a wide variety of techniques and products, as well as lots of tips and tricks! To ensure you remember everything, each of my lessons come with a full step by step recap of your unique session, as well as a full personalised product recommendation list. Here, I list all the products we used, including shades, where you can buy them and where to find the best discounts!

Who are your lessons suitable for?
Everyone! My lessons are totally customised to the individual, meaning they can be tailored for any age, skin type or skin tone. I have done several lessons for young ladies between the ages of 11 and 17, as well as for more mature skin too. Whether you are just starting out in makeup or feel as though you are stuck in a rut, my makeup lessons are for you!

Can I book a group lesson?
Absolutely! I have done several group lessons for a variety of age groups and they are a really fun way to learn a new makeup routine. Depending on the size of group, I may do the session as more of a masterclass where I would use one or two members of the group as models to demonstrate the techniques, to then have everyone else follow along as we go.
Please note that I do recommend any group lessons include ladies of a similar age as makeup for a group of 15 year old girls vs makeup for a group of 50 year old women can vary greatly in both techniques, products and budgets! This way the lesson can still be relevant for all involved and everyone can get the most out of the session.

What should I have to hand for my lesson?
I ask all of my clients to have any of their current products to hand for the makeup lesson so we can go through your collection and utilise as many of your products as possible. This prevents waste and saves you money! I can also go through and advise as to what products may not work for you. Other than this, I will bring everything you need.
