Last Saturday marked my final wedding of 2024. I was a part of an incredible 42 weddings this year, 50% more than I did last year! I have glammed hundreds of lovely ladies across those wedding days, I have lost count of how many times I said the word “gorgeouusss!” and I have travelled all over Berkshire. This year really has been a whirlwind, with my busiest month having seven weddings across four weeks (shout out to all of my May brides!). So let’s talk about it!

My 2024 wedding season really kicked off from the end of March, with my first larger wedding of the year taking place at the beautiful Old Luxters Barn over in Henley. It was my first time at this venue for my bride Jo’s wedding day and it is one I am really looking forward to going back to in 2025! It was a gorgeous sunny day for Jo and it was such a relaxed morning – a perfect way to ease into the busy season!

The following week I was over at Heckfield Place with my bride Becky to get her and her bridal ready for her big day. Becky was such a wonderful bride to work with and we clicked right from her trial. Her wedding morning was an absolute joy and made me so excited to be back in the swing of things. It was also lovely to work alongside Jenna from Hair by Jenna who I have worked with many times before in the past. Jenna is an outstanding hair stylist and she is SO fast! I cannot recommend her more. Click on the photos of Becky below to head over to Jenna’s instagram!

May is always my busiest month for weddings and this year was no exception. Each of my seven weddings this month were actually quite small groups so it made it much easier to stay organised. I was back with my bride Abi for her celebration day, I spent the morning with my bride Alice for her festival themed wedding (it sounded epic!) and I was over in Windsor with Lily at the end of the month. It was a wonderful mix of days!

My wedding season this year has actually been a little bit backwards, with my busiest times of year being early Spring and Autumn as opposed to the ‘traditional’ summer months. This seems to have been a common theme this year from chatting to fellow wedding suppliers and I can see this trend continuing over the next few years. Thank you Great British weather for being so unpredictable!
I only had four brides for the month of June, but finished the month with a bang with one of my largest weddings of the year with my bride Beckie! I was quite poorly for Beckie’s big day (typical just as I hit my busiest time of year as proms begin in June), but her girls looked after me so well, bringing me countless hot drinks even though I forgot to drink almost all of them. I was incredibly grateful!

July brought with it a month full of big bridal parties – I had an incredible 17 ladies booked in with me across four weddings! I visited Wasing Park and Stoke Farm Barn in July and officially have two new favourite venues. Bonus points to Stoke Farm Barn as they have a wildflower meadow and I love nothing more than wildflowers!

Steph’s wedding on the 11th of July was a stand out for 2024 for me. Steph and her bridesmaids all booked in for trials ahead of her wedding day, so when I walked in on her wedding morning it was like seeing old friends. Girlhood was strong this day, with each of her bridesmaids being so helpful and so full of love for Steph. The day was full of laughs and holds a special place in my 2024 recap.

In amongst a hectic time of year, I made sure to block out some time off in August to celebrate my 22nd birthday. It has become a tradition to go to Ascot Races for my birthday and it is always so much fun. Any excuse to get glammed up and I am there!

In September, I was over at Stanlake Park three times in the space of three weeks! I told myself that anytime I was at Stanlake in 2024, I would buy myself a bottle of wine – as a form of self-care of course. However, I soon scrapped this idea as I was there twice in one weekend and wasn’t sure it’d make the best impression!

Alongside Cathrine’s beautiful wedding day, pictured above, I was also a part of Natalie’s special day. Natalie had the true dream team of suppliers for her wedding so I was thrilled to join her on her wedding morning. She had Michelle from Hair Design and Makeup doing her hair, Lauren from St Laurens Tans for her spray tan and Amy Diana as her photographer. Girl power!! Click on any of these talented ladies names in bold to be taken to their Instagrams.

I must give a special shoutout to Amy from Amy Diana Photography. I have been lucky enough to work alongside Amy three times this year and have absolutely rinsed every gallery she has sent over to me. Her photography is simply stunning and she is such a fantastic and warm person. I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Amy for keeping my website and social media’s topped up with images this year!

My season continued in full force in October and with it came my bride Tyler’s wedding day! Tyler and I had so much fun at her trial, so I knew her big day would be full of laughs – and I was right! Not only was Tyler super chill and fully trusting in me (she let me add a winged liner to her bridal makeup on the day after I suggested it!), she was absolutely hilarious. It was a joy to be a part of her wedding morning.

November marked the end of a very busy year of weddings, finishing in style with a close family friend getting married. After my professional duties were done, I certainly celebrated and indulged in just a few glasses (bottles*) of wine – it would be rude not to!
This year really has been my craziest yet and I cannot be any more grateful. The jump from 28 weddings in 2023 to 42 this year has been a big one to manage all by myself and I’d be lying if I didn’t say I had my tough moments throughout the year too. But we did it! Looking back makes me realise just how crazy this achievement is. A huge thank you to all of my 2024 brides for trusting me on such an important day, it is a dream come true to see so many stunning wedding days.
Here’s to 2025! x
